  • All or Nothing

I find that my lulls in blogging happen either when there is nothing happening, or too much happening.

In this case, I would say I've just come out of the toughest 6 months of my life thus far. And I think... it's prob not over yet...

Still... my God is good to me.

  • A New Social Network

My mom is so cute (yes, i know i'm completely biased)

Scene: We're at a family dinner where the youngest cousin there is about 10 and he's complaining that he's bored. He starts playing games on his dad's blackberry. When things start getting desperate, my uncle whips out a laptop for him to play games on while he waits.

He is sitting in the corner facing out so that only he can see the laptop screen. My mother, who loves to tease him, walks over.

Mom - A., whatchu playing on there?
    Cousin - *ignores her*
M - What are you doing? *scoots around and tries to sneak a peak at the screen*
C - *doesn't acknowledge her question again but tilts the laptop screen down so that even he can't see it now
M - OoOOoOohhhh!!!  Are you on MyFace?!?!

=)  aww mom... ur so close!

  • Let Them Eat Dirt!

Just read this article from the Y! Front Page

It's about the benefits of playing in dirt to children's immune systems. I grew up in a clean house with no pets (except for a few goldfish that didn't last past our first vacation away from them). If I got a spot of dirt, my dad made a scrunchy face, exclaimed "eeewwww"  and passed on the notion that it was just absolutely HORRIBLE to be dirty. We were then rushed to the sink for sanitization.

I have allergies and had asthma at one point (still a little i think). I wonder if any of that can be attributed to the pristine state of our household. I wonder if it's too late to start getting dirty now...

I also think it might have had something to do with my mom being surrounded by smokers when she was preggers...

i dunno... one or the other =P
